Absolutely terrific paddle - great balance, feel, and control, and shots feel nice and crisp coming off the paddle. I switched to the SP from a Selkirk Luxx and am happy I did - the SP has just as much spin, but even better control, without the "mushy" feeling I was getting hitting with the Luxx. Great service as well - AJ was great about sending demos to both me and my wife (she got an SS Aero that she also loves!) and was super-helpful answering all of our questions. So happy to have found these paddles and this company!

I am very happy with this paddle. It is not heavy, I like the longer paddle and handle. It has helped me get those extra high shots or shots to the side. It has a nice feel to the paddle. I love the length of the handle. My only complaint is the handle wrap is very smooth and when my hand gets sweaty it slips. It needs a bit more grip. I will have to wrap the handle with a more “sticky” grip. The paddle is beautiful and I do love the color of the handle and the purple deaign on the paddle.

This slick paddle plays as good as it looks. Instantly loved it - great balance of control and power! The touch on the ball was fantastic. Materials are clearly high quality and well designed. My wife loved it too so I snagged her an SS Pro (she prefers a slightly wider paddle).

AJ was kind enough to deliver my new SP paddle at the tournament venue the day before my tournament. I practiced a solid 2hrs with it. I used it for my tournament. Guess what, we won!!!!

My friend let me try his paddle and it was by far the best paddle I tried. After trying multiple paddles I was hooked on the Astria I've had it for a few weeks and my friends noticed the improvement in my serves and overall play. I could not be happier with my choice.
My paddle that I was using lost its pop and I borrowed my friend's paddle. She had this one and I fell in love. I went home and ordered it right away. It came quickly and my game has been better (and getting better) ever since. BUY IT!!!

The Astria SP checks off all the boxes for my game. I’m a 4.0+ player and this paddle gives me the power and spin needed to compliment my playing style. The touch and feel is also there for confident drops and dinks. Also, the paddle is gorgeous and gets a lot of attention!
We purchased the first paddles a year ago and love them! We ordered the new edition, and they are even better! I didn't think they could be perfected better, but I was wrong. We love them!!!

I have played with many different brand name paddles which I liked at first but didn't like after a few months. I had a shoulder issue so my pro told be to get a balanced paddle. I contacted Astria and was sent a demo of the SP paddle to my home for $25. Such great customer service. I absolutely love the SP paddle - from the minute I picked it up. I will try a new paddle when pros demo them but I always go back to my SP. I still love this paddle as much as the day I got it.

The Astria SP is the best pickleball paddle I’ve ever used, and is definitely the best paddle in Astria’s lineup in my opinion. This paddle is thermoformed, which gives it a boost in power and control. You’ll find that your drives and dinks are very nice and crispy, and you won’t have any problem with them. The thermoforming also adds to the paddle’s agility at the kitchen line, making it very reliable in firefights, and also improves the paddle’s durability. With an average weight of 8 oz, this paddle is the perfect weight for those players looking to get optimal power without sacrificing control. Despite having a shorter handle than some of Astria’s other paddles, I have had no problem getting both hands on the handle for those two-handed backhands. Lastly, the grittiness of the carbon fiber face gives this paddle exceptional spin and will make your serves very deadly. If you’re looking for a strong and reliable all-court paddle, the Astria SP is for you.

I had an opportunity to play with a loaner Astria SP paddle in a lesson, and I was very impressed with how light it is, and the power boost it gives me. I am an older player and very slight, so this paddle will be perfect.
I ordered it Monday and got it Wednesday!

I love this SP paddle. It’s really well made; it has great spin, control and power. I say this paddle falls into the all-around paddles probably slightly leaning towards power. I did add 5 3g lead strips to increase the power(2 on the bottom of the sides, 2 on the top corners and 1 on the top). This is my go to setup and I play great with it. I recently won a tournament with it as well. Overall really good paddle and will recommend it to 3.5-4.5 players.

I tried many paddles but my shoulder hurt with each. Then my coach/instructor told me I needed a balanced paddle. So I tried the SP which is balanced and no shoulder pain with it. The people at Astria were great to work with - excellent customer service. I love my paddle and feel I play better with it. Has good control and power without using lead tape. I am so happy with my purchase.
Not sure why my last post had a 4 Star, but it should've been a 5 Star Rating. My son was very happy with the paddle and the power it give out. He even got a chance to play with Dmitry and it was awesome.

Was first introduced to this brand by Grahm at my public courts in San Jose, CA! He let me borrow his paddle and play with it a couple times before I committed to buying one for myself. It’s been a few weeks with it and I will say that my game has improved. Grahm was extremely helpful with educating me about the paddle and the different types Astria sells. He has even watched my play style and confirmed that this very paddle was going to be the best one for me. So glad I made this purchase.
